History

The 1967 Volkwagen Transporter Type 2 (T1C) Bus (Crew Cab Pick-Up) is a forward control panel van introduced as its second car model, the successor to the Type 1 Beetle. It runs on an air-cooled flat 4-cylinder 1.5 L engine mounted in the rear and sports the classic split windshield. The model was a forerunner of the modern cargo and passenger van, and because of its popularity during the era, was nicknamed the “Hippie Bus.”

As one of the most reliable classic vehicles in the fleet, this bus has seen miles of road and has been a great vehicle for road trips and a cozy home for camping. It’s a fun car that’s sure to turn heads and capture a peace sign or two from onlookers.
