History
The 1963 Austin Mini was the brilliant compact family vehicle, featuring a long-stroke, twin carburetor, 997cc engine with side-mounted radiator, front-wheel drive, gearbox in the sump, 10-inch wheels, and conical rubber suspension. Despite its small size, it is capable of carrying four adults at 55 horsepower. These little cars had basic charm and have come to be known as “Minis,” for good reason.
